A GATHERING PLACE

A Gathering Place is a place of alchemical transformation

The environment is designed to feel like home; a safe place where you can unmask, kick off your shoes and allow your nervous system to quiet and enter a responsive state.

All of our offerings are built on the precept that each of us has an innate capacity to heal. Our work centers around empowering each other to honor the bodies’ wisdom, meeting ourselves with compassion and coming together to build community that creates a sense of belonging and fosters our individual and collective healing.

Our private sessions as well as live and online classes and retreats, weave a variety of Eastern and Western healing modalities together to deliver a wholistic experience of health, wellness and community.

On Fear... A Message from Jacqueline

"The fear bites like the cold of Winter.

I tremble and lose all sense of control.

It has finally come to get me.

I have no disguise to keep it at bay.

Resist or Surrender!

It’s too strong to fight.

I give in.

It envelops me like a mist

seeping into the fullness of my being.

I AM fear

Fear IS me.

And just like that, it releases its grip.

All it was asking was to be felt fully – to take up space.

I am free now.

I can breathe."

In the deepest parts of each of us is a longing to be seen, to be heard. and to matter.  We go about our lives looking for these things from the people around us, and when we don’t get these needs met, we react.  Our reactions separate us.  We become victim or victor, winner or loser.  Driven by a need to protect our fragile egos from feeling discounted, we create wars with the world around us.  We scream. We yell. We protest. After all, don’t we deserve to be acknowledged for who we really are?

What if the very things we are looking for from others can only ever be truly met by ourselves.  What if to feel seen, heard, and understood means acknowledging our felt perceptions, our sensations. and our emotions and attending to them with affection.  What if radical self-acceptance looks like granting ourselves permission to feel everything and to turn toward ourselves, rather than looking the other way.  What if the journey of a lifetime is the inside one. What if the knock on the door is our longing asking to come home after a long exodus.  What if the answer to all of our internal struggle is to sit with, breathe with and grant our emotions safe passage through us.

What if we hold the key to that door?  What if all we need to do is invite ourselves in, and greet ourselves with fierce gentleness and curiosity?  The person you have been longing  for, has always been YOU.

Sit with Me, Be with Me, Feel Me, Hold Me

For only then can I move through you and be free.

Only then will you experience the depth and fullness of your beauty.

Jacqueline - Kundalini Yoga Instructor & Registered Clinical Counsellor

Counselling

Having walked many paths of awareness, Jacqueline is no stranger to the raw and most genuine aspects of the human spirit. Dialogue with her own body led her to complete a Masters in Five Element Acupuncture, after which, she practiced acupuncture with precision and intuition. It is with that same zeal for learning about the body, mind and spirit, that lead her into a Corporate Coach-U certification, a Masters in Counselling and her certification as a KRI certified Kundalini Yoga teacher.

Yoga

Kundalini Yoga, often referred to as the yoga of awareness, supports the natural unmasking of our true natures. Through this practice, we are invited to shed the tension from our physical, emotional and mental bodies, so that we can step into our truest expression. Kundalini Yoga has many benefits including: increased strength and flexibility, increased vitality, improved mood, stabilization and strengthening of the nervous and glandular systems, boosts metabolism and aids in digestion. The benefits of this practice span far beyond the physical body. Through steady practice we learn to take control of our minds, build our capacity to be with difficult emotions, enhance our capacity to respond instead of react, and learn how to listen to that still quiet voice within ourselves for guidance.

“In many shamanic societies, if you came to a medicine person complaining of being disheartened, dispirited, or depressed, they would ask one of four questions: When did you stop dancing? When did you stop singing? When did you stop being enchanted by stories? When did you stop being comforted by the sweet territory of silence?”
